Terms of Service for Learning Nexus

Target Audience: Learning Nexus provides educational services designed for Elementary, Middle, and High School students.
Parental Consent: As students are minors, a parent or legal guardian must register the student and agree to these Terms of Service on their behalf.
Binding Agreement: By enrolling a child, the parent/guardian represents that they have the legal authority to bind the minor to these terms and assumes full financial and legal responsibility for the student’s actions.

Payment Requirement: Full payment is required in advance to secure a seat for any individual class or full semester.
Materials Fees: Any separate supply fees for “hands-on” materials are non-refundable once materials have been distributed or shipped.
Verification of Identity: One registration grants access to one individual student only. Sharing a single login or “seat” among multiple participants is strictly prohibited.

Student No-Shows: If a student misses a scheduled live session, no makeup sessions, recordings, or credits will be provided.
Company Cancellations: If Learning Nexus cancels a session (e.g., instructor illness), we will offer a rescheduled session or a full refund for that specific session.

Assumption of Risk: Parents and students acknowledge that “hands-on” learning involves handling tools and materials. Participants expressly assume all risks of physical injury. Closed-toe shoes and other specified safety gear are required for all lab activities.
Venue Compliance: Students must adhere to the rules of any physical location hosting Learning Nexus (e.g., Indian Trail Town Hall).
Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Learning Nexus and its instructors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in our programs.

Behavioral Standards: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, bullying, or disruptive behavior.
Removal Policy: Learning Nexus reserves the right to immediately remove any student (without refund) if their conduct interferes with the safety or learning of others.

Recording Prohibition: Students and guardians are strictly prohibited from using screen-recording software or any other devices to capture live sessions.
Privacy: Learning Nexus does not record live online sessions to protect the privacy of the minors involved.
Proprietary Methods: Instructional methods and live delivery remain the exclusive intellectual property of Learning Nexus.

Governing Law: These Terms of Service and any dispute arising out of or related to our services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Jurisdiction: You agree that any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Union County, North Carolina (or the nearest applicable jurisdiction).
Arbitration: At the company’s discretion, any disputes may be settled through binding arbitration in North Carolina rather than in a court of law.
